Who We Are

Rimerna Foreign Trade Inc. was established in 1986 as an Export and Import Company in Izmir. In 1987 it was converted into a joint stock corporation and has been active as such ever since. Our initial business activity was the export of Turkish produced foodstuffs. We were for many years the exclusive agent of Migros of Switzerland for dried fruit, primarily raisins, figs, and apricots. We were the sole exporter for our sister companies Ege Konserve and Oncu Gida, and exported their products of tomato paste and canned vegetables around the world until those companies were spun off in the year 2000.

In 1986 Rimerna was named the exclusive agent in Turkey for FMC Food Machinery, a large U.S. company producing premier food processing machinery. We worked in this sector for more than 8 years, and we were instrumental in the establishment of many modern food factories in Turkey.
